This Teddy Bear was sewn using cotton and a cotton-linen blend, and the step-by-step instructions are based on those materials.
You can also use a variety of other fabrics such as boucle, minky, corduroy, or even upcycled clothing. If you choose stretch fabrics or lightweight materials, be sure to apply fusible interfacing to each piece before sewing to help maintain the shape.
Faux fur and plush fabrics are also an option, but they’re best suited for experienced sewists. These materials require special handling, such as using a walking foot or a heavy-duty sewing machine. Please note that this tutorial does not cover techniques for working with thick or textured fabrics, so use them only if you’re confident and familiar with the adjustments required.
